This happy dog proves that you can overcome any obstacle.
Zeeky, a special needs dog that had been tortured and abandoned, was rescued last year.
After months of recovery, the cheerful dog is back to his old self. He inspires people through his Instagram, which he shares with his other disabled pet siblings.
Zeeky the disabled rescue dog was extremely underweight when rescuers discovered him in a remote place on the Caribbean island of Curacao.
They learned the abandoned pup was just 8 months old and had been purposefully mutilated after taking him to the doctor.
In addition to his injuries, the dog also had extensive tick disease and scabies.

Debbie Pearl, the founder of Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue, a non-profit animal rescue group, says there was no turning back when she first learned about Zeeky and his heartbreaking background.
She knew she had the skills and resources to assist the little pup recovery because she was a pet mom to several handicapped rescue dogs.
Pearl claims Zeeky’s behavior changed almost immediately when he began his recovery at his foster home in Curacao. After only a few days in the love and care of his foster home, the pup, who was initially afraid of human touch, began to show devotion and excitement.
Zeeky the disabled rescue dog was ready for the next stage of his recovery ten weeks after she first heard about him.

Pearl traveled to Curacao to greet Zeeky’s rescuers before returning to California with him. She claims that the puppy ran to them without any hesitation.
Zeeky got fitted for prostheses and is learning to walk with them now that he is back in California with Pearl. While he waits for his second prosthetic to be adjusted, Pearl says it doesn’t stop him from running around with his dog siblings.
Pearl describes Zeeky as “one of the happiest puppies you’ll ever meet despite his early life tragedy.”

He understands how to put a smile on anyone’s face.
“He’s such a sweetheart. Moreover, he wags his tail at everyone he encounters. But, he simply wants to be cuddled by everyone, which is quite endearing,” Pearl explains. “Every day, he motivates me to be a better person.”
