In the Philippines, a dog rider named Kenny Lacson caught the public’s attention because of his dog, Chelsea. Lacson works as a delivery rider, and he brings Chelsea with him to work. Local news channels featured their story, and several people admired their bond.
According to Lacson, one of his customers gave Chelsea to him when she was still a puppy. And since then, the dog does not want to be separated from him. Whenever he turned on his motorcycle, Chelsea would ride at the front, so he decided to let her tag along.
Lacson could not find a helmet that would fit Chelsea, so he drives more carefully for her safety. He also trained her to balance well and lessen her movements while riding the motorcycle. In several instances, traffic enforcers called the attention of Lacson regarding the safety of his dog. But, he would always assure them that he does not drive fast and he keeps Chelsea safe all the time.
Aside from Chelsea’s clinginess, there is another reason why Lacson brings the dog to work. Lacson lives alone, and no one can look after Chelsea if he leaves her behind. His mind would be more at ease if she were with him all the time, knowing that he could feed her on time and attend to all her needs.
Although their travels can be taxing as they would traverse long distances and sometimes busy streets, Chelsea does not seem to mind. She maintains her balance and does not cause any problem to her fur dad. On the other hand, Lacson became a better driver because of Chelsea. He is now more careful, as Chelsea’s safety became his top priority.
Several people commended Lacson for taking care of Chelsea well. And, a lot of people wished them safe travels at all times.
