Meet Remi, the pit bull who was discovered locked in an attic, and Jami Lassell, the woman who rescued her.
According to Jami Lassell, “My brother was cleaning out a house in Carbon County when he told me she was there. I instructed him to go ahead and get her for me. Her tail began to move as soon as I spotted her. She didn’t have any food or water. Remi was imprisoned in an abandoned house with no food or water. Remi’s leg had previously been fractured as well, and they’ll have to pay for costly treatment.”
When Jami came, she wouldn’t walk up or down the stairs. So she brought her to the vet and got all of her immunizations as well as having her leg checked.
Jami further said, “Remi has had a broken leg in the past. It is healed now. As a result, we’ll be taking care of that. It’s simply not the proper time right now. As a result, I’m currently waiting for it. She can walk on her leg and function normally. She also hops on her back legs.”
Jami was seeking a family to adopt Remi, but she decided to take in the unfortunate pit.
She added, “We planned to get her healthier and then find her a home. She’s now a member of our family.”
Who could resist her with those puppy eyes?
She now has another pit bull to keep her company in her new home.
“Remi was terrified. She is still irritated by being left alone. We’ve had her for over a month, and she cries when she’s left alone. So she now has the company of my other pit. However, she behaves well in her kennel.” Jami added.
Remi dislikes being left alone because of the trauma she has experienced.
Despite her severe injuries, the pit bull is receiving treatment and is making a quick recovery. Every little amount of comfort she receives speeds up her recovery.
Jami set up a GoFundMe account to help with the medical bills.
Remi has flooded with gifts not long after. The good news is that they’ve met their fundraising target. Overall, it seemed that fate drew Jami and Remi together and that nothing could separate them.
“She’s terrific!” Jami answered when asked how Remi was doing. “She’s gaining a lot of weight and living a happy life.”
