Willie was a homeless dog that ended up at an oil field in search of food. Animal control caught him and then transferred him to the care of a local shelter. He was lucky, however, because he didn’t have to stay long after Queen City Pitties, a group of dog fosters, stepped in and pulled him out. Where he got a sibling for the first time.
On his first day in his foster home, Willie felt terrified. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do inside the house nor did he realize why he was there, to begin with.
He feared the stairs and the doorways and he hated the wooden floor so he only stayed on areas with rags and mats
To get him in and out of the house, his foster mom, Emily, had to carry him. There was no apparent reason for his fears except that he had never spent any time indoors. His entire life revolved on the streets and the abrupt change in his life surely startled him.
But Carlo, his foster dog sibling, made things a little less scary for him
Carlo is a therapy dog and he loves his mom so much. He, however, isn’t a huge fan of having other foster sibling dogs. He never minds having them around but he never sees the need to involve himself, until he met Willie.
Willie liked Carlo from the very start. He followed him wherever he went and he wanted to play with him all the time. He was just so into him and he tried so hard for his foster brother to like him back.
It took some time before Carlo realized he liked his new sibling, Willie, too
He let him lay on top of him, played with him outdoors, and showed him how to behave indoors. He created an incredible bond with him, something he never did with any of his foster dog siblings.
Thanks to Carlo, Willie learned his ways. He conquered the stairs and the doorways, and he discovered how great it is to live in a home.
In no time, Willie found his new home and said goodbye. It was a tad saddening for him and Carlo, but they both knew it was for the best.
