Paintings Give This Bulldog The Most Adorable Costumes Every Time He Sticks His Head Through The Fence

It is so adorable when dogs wear costumes. But not all dogs like wearing outfits. So these parents of a bulldog decided to use paintings to give their dog a costume. And he loves it.

The video of the bulldog named Bogart in Denmark peering through a fence with a painted crown and robe has gone viral.

The dog’s owner, Ranveig Bjørklid Levinsen, said her family has two English bulldogs: Winston, a 7-year-old female, and Bogart, a 3-year-old male named after Humphrey Bogart. Near their house there is a hiking path, so the dogs are known around the neighborhood.

The street is full of people every day, Levinsen explained. People stop and talk to the dogs, and sometimes they give them a snack.

Winston used to jump over the fence, so Levinsen’s husband built a new one with holes to prevent him from jumping over it. Winston and Bogart can both see what is happening now without leaving the property.

The dog owner wondered if it would be fun to have something similar to amusement parks, where people poke their heads through holes and have pictures taken. Despite having great ideas, they are not good painters. Their daughter painted the costumes around the holes.

In Bogart’s case, the holes are a good solution since Levinsen said he couldn’t walk when he was younger.

“We carried him out in the beginning,” she said. “He’s so special. He’s very cute and loving. He is very sweet but very stubborn. He doesn’t like walking.”

Extra paintings are being considered by the family at another hole in the fence.

The subject comes up from time to time. Perhaps a boiler hat with a cigar, or a baby hat with lace. They haven’t decided yet.

Random people walking by the house now recognize the dogs from the Facebook video.

As Levinsen said, “the response has been constant. I think people love it because it’s real. Plus, the dogs look so goofy.”
