If you are truly a basketball fan, then you must be familiar with Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers who helped get the team to the playoffs. But his dog Vestry, a Hungarian Vizsla, is taking some of that popularity off of him as they posed for the dog biscuit brand Milk-Bone to help launch their Birthday Cake Artificially Flavored Biscuits. And no one can really blame Vestry because she definitely looked so beautiful in that photo.
Hungarian Vizslas are hunting dogs and they definitely love the thrill of sports and Vestry though a 35-pound mid-sized dog is like a freak athlete. She loves to wrestle with her dad, fight, and play all sorts of games. But behind that tough look is a very gentle, sweet, and clingy heart. And that is what Vestry is to her mom, Love’s fiancée Kate Bock, as she always loves to just cuddle up with her and give her all the love.
According to her dad, it’s like three-and-a-half-year-old Vestry is in a tomboy relationship with them. She loves her mom but when he is around, it’s like he is her boyfriend.
Kevin was actively looking for over a year before finding Vestry who ticked all the checkboxes that he wanted for a dog. Initially, he wanted a dog with a great temperament, easy to train, just under 50 pounds, and also hypoallergenic. Then he found out about Vizslas and how sociable, athletic, and family-type dogs they are, and they kind of checked all of the requirements on his list. That was when he started exploring Vizslas in hope of finding a dog that will match him.
Kevin definitely devoted careful time to looking for a Vizsla who would best suit him and he was thankful to have met Vestry.
