If you don’t believe in miracles, maybe this story will change your mind. A pup named Simba accidentally jumped off a cliff at Oak Creek Canyon. He fell 200 feet below, but he somehow survived, albeit with some injuries.
Read on to learn more about this Golden Doodle’s extraordinary miracle story.
The incident and the miracles
Simba and his parents Wesley and Ruth Wallace went to Oak Creek Canyon to unwind and enjoy nature. Wesley said that there was an overlooking vista at the destination.
Simba ran around joyfully as his dad stood on top of a rock wall. The dog, who came from Ruth, suddenly bolted towards Wesley, jumped, and cleared the cliff.
At that heart-stopping moment, Ruth thought their beloved dog was already gone. But Wesley seemed not to give up hope.
So, he went looking for the pup and found him miraculously alive.
Wesley’s dad and a family friend brought a hammock to carry the dog back to safety. Ruth said that she couldn’t believe that the dog was alive when Wesley told him about it.
A cautionary tale for other dog owners
Simba was then taken to Phoenix where he underwent surgery. The procedure had been successful, and Simba was recovering from his injuries. His right leg, though, was badly hurt.
Wesley said that their beloved pup would probably never walk the same again.
However, he claimed that Simba’s survival after a 200-foot fall was indeed full of miracles.
While Simba’s story is optimistic, this should also serve as a cautionary tale for dog owners out there, especially for those who take their pooches on outdoor adventures. One way of doing so is by making sure that your dog is always on a leash.
See to it that the destination is actually dog-friendly. With that, you have the assurance that the venue will not have any hazards or risks that may put your dog in danger.
