After spending years in a toxic workplace, Andreas Flaten finally had the guts to resign. Despite his ex-boss giving him such a hard time, he redirected his frustrations into something worthwhile. Dog rescue groups.
The bullied man ended up taking what hurt him and turned it into a blessing for his furry friends living at dog rescue groups.
Andreas used to work in the automotive industry, in Georgia. He wanted to leave for the longest time but had trouble resigning because of his boss’ arrogance. Once all the papers were signed, all he waited for was his last paycheck amounting to 915 dollars.
A few weeks after he left, Andreas finally received his money one morning.
The catch was, the entire amount was in pennies while covered completely with motor oil. Also, attached to it was an insulting note from his boss.
Andreas’ girlfriend was furious and posted a video of the heaping pile to her Instagram where it went viral instantly. Luckily, a company called Coinstar reached out and made an amazing deal.
Coinstar was a company that collected coins and exchanged them for bills. They picked up the coins and even rounded up the amount to exactly a thousand dollars for Andreas. Afterwhich, they offered to donate the same amount to Andreas’ chosen charity.
Because of his soft spot for dogs, Andreas chose two Atlanta-based dog rescue shelters.
They previously saved both his and his mother’s house dogs. He was so thankful for Coinstar’s kind donation and all the assistance that they’ve given him.
Andreas knew that he was so lucky to get out of his previous work situation and he found a new purpose in his life. He wanted to help out more dogs because of this experience and he looked forward to offering more of his help when needed.
