During a recent street performance in Turkey, a stray dog wandered onto the stage to soothe an actor who was lying on the ground, pretending to be injured.
Actor Numan Erturul Uzunsoy played injured during the screenplay. And lay on the floor during the street performance.
Despite the fact that he was merely acting, a nearby stray seeing the incident mistook him for a genuine injured person and walked into the scene to console the man.
Uzunsoy told The Dodo, “The character I played was injured and in a lot of agonies. He’d gotten off his horse and was having trouble breathing.”
Uzunsoy didn’t notice a four-legged spectator had joined him on stage as he lay on the ground carrying out his role.
“I noticed a warm sensation on my face. At first, I believed it was my costar approaching me,” he explained.
However, he was completely wrong.
Although he tried not to break out of character for a few moments. But dogs have a way of altering people’s moods. And he gradually grinned and began showering love on his canine savior.
“Feeling the dog’s kisses pleased me,” Uzunsoy added. “It brought tears to my eyes. He appeared to be an angel wishing to help me. For me, it was a profoundly touching experience. I wasn’t expecting it.”
Despite the interruption to the street performance, the crowd applauded, delighted at the touching scene they had all witnessed.
A cast member eventually assisted the dog off-stage, where he lingered for a while before walking away.
Now, Uzunsoy wishes to repay the generosity.
So he frequents the region in the hopes of finding and saving the stray dog from the streets to find him a permanent home.
Uzunsoy says, “I’ll keep looking for him until I find him. Animals have always held a special place in my heart.”
