Dogs are known for getting themselves stuck in dangerous situations. The majority of dog owners usually have many stories about the time their dogs got stuck somewhere they shouldn’t be in.
We often wonder how these animals get themselves into such predicaments and couldn’t get themselves out of their situation. Well, when we realize just how curious and adventurous dogs are, we think that’s the reason why this happens.
One stray dog in Florida needed the combined efforts of the St. Johns County Fire Rescue and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office to escape a dangerous situation. The dog was blind and deaf and that made the rescue mission even more challenging.
The owners claimed that their dog with special needs fled their home by accident. Someone had left the door open by mistake and the dog used to go out.
Because of the dog’s condition, he was never allowed outside alone, so the owners were concerned about what might happen to him. They hurriedly looked everywhere, and he was quickly discovered deep within a pipe near their residence. There was no way they could call him and assure him that they were there.
They quickly asked for help. Teams from the two departments quickly came and examined the situation upon their arrival. When they determined the situation and the dog’s location, they created a plan. Using ropes and other improvised equipment, they set out to rescue the dog.
It took two hours to take the dog from the tight spot that it was in and when he was on safe ground, everyone shouted and celebrated.
The dog was trembling and terrified. However, he was healthy and uninjured. The dog was finally able to relax after being returned to his owners. The family was extremely relieved and they are incredibly appreciative of the rescuers’ assistance.
Photos and news of the rescue were shared online, and netizens were quick to offer their congratulations to all those involved. They are genuine heroes for saving the life of the dog that day.
