Dog daycare is a great place for your dog to go to when you are out for the day. They can socialize in a monitored environment. It helps with the separation anxiety issues that your dog may be suffering from if you leave them for the day.
Your dog going missing is a terrible experience. No one wants to have this experience. So what do these two contrasting statements have in common? Well for one lady, Linda Zimmer, it is something that was happening to her.
Linda took her dog, Izabella a 15-month-old malamute, for a walk down the street. Then suddenly, Izabella slid out of her leash and went running down the road. Linda repeatedly called her, but she carried running on and out of sight.
Linda started panicking and did not think she will ever see her child again. She was ready to call the police when she received a call. Surprisingly, it was from the Canine Social Club, a dog daycare.
Izabella ran straight to the dog daycare and walked in with another dog and their owner.
The staff didn’t think anything at first because many dogs walk in off-leash. But when they recognized Izabella and saw that Linda wasn’t with her, they knew something was wrong.
Linda was heartbroken and when she got the call, it was like an angel calling.
Izabella must have decided to go play with her friends and the dog daycare was the perfect place to go. But Linda had been scared to tears.
Thankfully nothing happened to Izabella on the way, but she knew where she was going. Linda was crying when she got to the dog daycare. But she was very relieved to see her pooch safe and sound. And, of course, happy to have had a good day at the dog daycare.
You can watch the video below:
Linda said afterward that she thinks the windy day had an effect on the dog panicking and running away. So she will not be going for a walk on windy days from now on. She will also be taking Izabella to dog daycare more often.
