We see many dogs with lots of determination. Devoted, firm-minded pooches, and a bunch of good boys and girls on a mission. And they never give up hope in everything they do.
We are particularly fond of a recent story about Eden, a red retriever who found a tennis ball under a fence and didn’t give up hope until she got it.
But the thing that makes this scenario even more entertaining is that, even though she knows her backyard well, she stubbornly persists… Despite being several feet away from a wide-open gate.
Introducing Eden and her mission, with hope, to grab her favorite tennis ball from just a few inches under her backyard fence.
She is just inches away! The prize is so close. Although it’s definitely not working that way, she keeps on trying.
Molly Kuekes, Eden’s mom, moves toward the right in the video, and we can see the gate is just a few feet away. Getting Eden’s ball would be as simple as walking around the exit.
What appears to be a sad issue is actually quite amusing. We can’t seem to resist watching this silly, adorable girl.
Molly, 29, lives in Charlotte, N.C., with her fur babies Eden and another red retriever named Bowser. The group has gained quite a bit of popularity on social media sites such as TikTok and Instagram.
It isn’t the first time Eden has so much hope of getting the ball back.
“This was the first time she did it next to an open gate though. She was so concentrated on the missing ball that she didn’t even notice the gate was open,” Molly said to the UK Daily Mail.
Eden is adamant about completing her missions.
“When playing fetch, tennis balls are often thrown over the fence into the neighbor’s yard,” Molly explains. When that happens, nothing else in the world matters except to find that one missing tennis ball.
