Peppa is a huge dog and at a young age she ended up in an overcrowded shelter where there was no space for her.
Although Peppa had been at the shelter for a few days only, the overcrowding made it difficult for the 6-month-old Chinese Shar-pei to sleep for even a night.
Things changed when the huge dog met her forever family and found some peace. On her first night in her new home, Peppa slept like a baby.
In an interview, Loren Montgomery, Peppa’s mom, said, “At first, she would sleep all day long. Now, she sleeps a good part of the day and then sleeps all night like a human.”
“She got a good bath, she ate, and she’s been sleeping like she hasn’t slept in years,” Montgomery shared in a Facebook post. “She snored like an exhausted mechanic her first night.”

However, Peppa’s sister, Bonet, likes the huge dog to play with her all the time.
“She gets along with Bonet unless she’s sleeping,” Montgomery added. “She doesn’t like when Bonet wakes her up to play! They play-fight until they get tired, relax, and play-fight again over and over until it’s time to sleep again.”
Montgomery adopted the huge dog a few weeks ago and has since then been helping her live a normal life.
“When we first took Peppa in, she was very timid. She wouldn’t look at us or look down at the ground when talking to or trying to pet her. She is still slightly timid but is adjusting well.”
“She has made me more patient,” Montgomery said. “Seeing how chill and mellow she calms me.”
