An adoption ad for a Chihuahua, Prancer, went viral after his foster mom, Tyfanee Fortuna, pleaded for someone to adopt him and give him a forever home.
She put it all on Facebook saying “Every day we live in the grips of the demonic Chihuahua hellscape he has created in our home. If you own a Chihuahua you probably know what I’m talking about. He’s literally the Chihuahua meme that describes them as being 50% hate and 50% tremble.”
Prancer came to his foster home obese, wearing a cashmere sweater with a bacon, egg ‘n cheese sandwich packed in his crate.
Prancer grew up in a house with an elderly woman. And she treated him as a human and never socialized him.
It is because of this upbringing that he only likes women.
“He hates men more than women do, which says a lot,” says Fortuna. She asked that nobody bother approaching her for adoption if there is a man, kids, or any other animal in the house. Because he is a rage machine.
So the only type of person that would suit this type of dog was a woman. But he was housebroken, enjoyed car rides, and is very loyal. That is when Ariel Davis came forward.
Prancer’s description in the viral post reminded her of her former dog. It appears that the Chihuahua is adjusting well to his new home.
Davis has experience with neurotic dogs, saying she “spent a lot of time working with [her former dog] and understanding his personality and learning about myself through him.”

A “troubling” dog can definitely benefit from this approach, and we’re so glad Prancer has found himself a loving home. Despite being described as “a Chucky doll in a dog’s body.”

Freddie The Chihuahua Shows The World His Beauty Despite His Difference
Freddie Mercury, a tiny Chihuahua mix, was found under a car in Arizona. Angela Adan, one of the volunteer foster parents of Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue, drove for four hours to rescue him.
When Angela took Freddie home, she didn’t take a close look at him. She immediately put on a blanket on him and drove home. Angela only realized the severity of Freddie’s condition when she unwrapped him.
