Dogs that have spent a considerable amount of time roaming the wilderness have difficulty trusting humans. They are frequently called feral dogs, which is a derogatory term. Despite their frightening nature, though, they need the same amount of love and care as any other dog.
Here is an example of one dog that was rescued and given a second opportunity at a good life. And this will prove to all of you that even those dogs that we call feral dogs can still change and be a good dog under the right care.
Rudy was discovered in a disorganized state that made him resemble a coyote. However, the rescuers correctly identified him as a stray dog.
During his rescue, he did not resist, although it was clear that he disliked being among humans.
Shiela, an employee at an animal shelter, found a way to gain Rudy’s trust. She discovered that he enjoys Vienna sausages. As a means of forming a friendship with him, she frequently brought him sausages.
Rudy’s appearance significantly improved after some time in the shelter, as observed by his rescuers. His fur appeared healthier, and he was much more active. The most significant shift was his embrace of physical contact. Rudy did everything he could in the past to avoid people.
Sheila ultimately brought Rudy home as her new dog. He had the opportunity to interact with the other dogs inside the house. There were also cats with which Rudy might interact with. The life he was accustomed to was in stark contrast to the life he was now living.
Rudy is an Akbash, and despite his size, he was a really kind giant. Sheila was pleased with the improvement her dog had made. He was no longer a starving stray, but rather a healthy pet. The individuals she worked with at the rescue group made this possible.
