The rules about having dogs on the subway are clear: “No person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container”. So it makes perfect sense if you want to travel with your dog, you need a puppy carrier.
These rules make sense if you are traveling with a small dog that could fit into your backpack or purse. So what happens if you want to travel across town with your large dog? Breeds like a husky or a pit bull? Well, it is simple, just get a much bigger puppy carrier.
And that is exactly what these people did. When they traveled on the NYC subway and had their beloved pooches with them. They did not want to get a fine for having a dog with them. So they exploited the loophole in the fine print.
When a CBS news producer, Alex Romano, used the subway to get to work, he was not expecting to see a man carry his husky downtown. And we will forgive you if you start to smile at this casual guy. With his shorts and sunglasses, nonchalantly carrying his husky in a tote bag.
