Rave and her owner, Kim Carino, went walking by a man sitting on a bench. She suddenly sensed something familiar about him and jumped for joy.
Rave is a sweet, friendly poodle who will always say hello to friends. Even one friend that she hasn’t seen in months.

Carino decided last year to take Rave for training. One of Carino’s late brother’s friends, who had experience with dog training, offered his assistance to teach the pup to be the very best she could be. After a while, the friend became more than a mere teacher to Rave.
“We met with him weekly,” Carino told The Dodo. “Rave adored him.”

After training sessions ended at a local park, Rave finally “graduated”. But what she learned from him clearly remained in her heart.
Carino and the friend met once again in the park 10 months after the training ended to surprise Rave. To see if he would be familiar to her.
In an effort to make the reunion really special, the friend agreed to sit quietly on a bench and wait for Rave to spot him.
Will she remember him after so long?
Clearly, their “chance” encounter was just that: really special.

“I wanted to see if she would know it was him. I suspected she would ‘cause she is a smart poodle,” Carino told the Dodo. “When I saw the reaction she had to my brother’s friend, I had no doubt how very special she is. It warmed my heart so.”
Rave was overjoyed. Carino and the man decided to make a meeting a habit after seeing how happy Rave was when she met her old teacher.

“He’s a forever friend of mine and Rave’s,” she added.

Therefore, it is very important to have a trip partner who feels the same way about Freddie as we do. One who can sing along with us. Not one that will want to change the song. Luckily for Anni Aul, she found the perfect trip partner in her dog, Lola.
