Recently, John Alexander Palomino Bendives’ quick reflexes saved a dog from falling off a building in Peru.
After a two-week stint working in the fields, John returned home to spend some time with his mother and four dogs.
But before he could even reach his apartment inside the building, Bendives quick reflexes helped him save his dog, Mina’s life.
When Bendives reached his apartment with his girlfriend, his family stood above in their fourth-story apartment along with Mina and other pups.
All of them peered out of the window to take a glimpse of John. The family and the pups were excited to see John but Mina was even more excited.
The pup couldn’t wait for her hooman to come upstairs, and she jumped out of the window in just a few seconds.
In her excitement, Mina lost her balance, slipped and fell off the window. Thankfully, to Bendives quick reflexes, he was able to catch the dog before she fell to the ground. He saved Mina from what could have been a potential death.
“She was OK, unharmed,” Bendives said in an interview. “Mina was happy and grateful, as you can see in the video. She didn’t stop wagging her tail out of happiness.”
All the pups were excited to see Bendives home. However, Mina was a tad bit more thrilled.
Bendives added, “We are looking at putting up a mesh [barrier] on the roof so that they can continue to sit up there but without the risk of falling again.”
“I love my pets very much,” Bendives said. “They always receive me with a lot of love and emotion. The time I spend at home, I try to spend as much time as possible with them.”
Thank you The Dodo for the story and the video!
