Scared Dog Discovers A Life Full Of Love After Owner’s Death

A scared dog, named Pancake, spent most of her life deprived of love and affection. Her owner kept her chained outside the house most days.

When he passed away, the scared dog was left alone in the yard with no one to take care of her. When PETA heard about the tragic story, they interfered.

They rescued the scared dog and found her a loving foster family.

Pancake’s life changed for all good reasons. Her life was now full of love and cuddles at her new home.

Before Pancake’s owner died, she was chained up with two other dogs in the backyard. Last year, her owner passed away from COVID-19.

There was no one to look for after the dogs. The owner’s extended family also refused to take the dogs in and would only visit occasionally.

The puppy, along with her siblings, was unclean and starving.

When PETA learned about this cruelty, they requested the dogs’ custody. Initially, the family refused, so the staff provided the dogs with food and clean water.

Sadly, Pancake lost a lot of weight, and her body was infested with fleas. The scared dog was in pain and needed immediate medical attention.

After a lot of struggle, PETA rescued the dogs and relocated Pancake to a loving foster house.

Pancake’s new foster family allowed her to live inside the house. The puppy overcame her fright and is now constantly showered with love and cuddles in her new home.

Her foster mom, Jessica, shared, “Everything is new to a dog who’s been living on a chain. I’m excited about Pancake’s future. She has so many adventures yet to come. They’re just going to have to come slowly because she’s going to be dealing with the trauma of her previous life forever.”

Her new family was absolutely in love with her and decided to adopt her. Pancake’s favorite spot in her new home is the couch, where she relaxes and wags her tail.

Thank you I Heart Dogs for the story. Thank you, PETA, for the video!
