A California family is hugging their hero, an 8-month-old Pit Bull puppy, a bit tighter today.
Because Sasha not only informed them that their apartment building was on fire but also dragged their 7-month-old daughter to safety by her diaper.
Sasha, an 8-month-old Pit Bull puppy, was outside her Stockton, California, home when the four-plex apartment building caught fire.

Nana Chaichanhda, Sasha’s owner, and her 7-month-old daughter were asleep inside.
Sasha acted quickly, alerting Chaichanhda to the fire.
“On June 3, 2018, my pitbull puppy Sasha banged and cried at my backyard door, waking me up. Little did I know, Sasha would become my hero,” Chaichanhda wrote on a GoFundMe page.
She was trying to gather money to buy basic needs like food, clothing, and shoes, as well as to relocate her family – including the family’s hero, Sasha – after their home was consumed by the fire.

She added, “Sasha, My lovely puppy was crying on the door. I had no idea she was trying to warn us about the fire. To check what was going on, I got out of bed. Sasha dashed inside our home, right into our bedroom, as I unlocked the rear door.”
She was confused until she discovered that her cousin’s house next door was on fire. Sasha was yanking the 7-month-old baby off the bed by her diaper when she hurried into the room.
Thanks to Sasha’s brave acts, the family was able to flee to safety and ask for aid.
Despite the fact that firefighters were able to preserve much of the apartment building, Chaichanhda’s and her cousin’s homes were both destroyed.

“I owe Sasha my life and the lives of my children. She was the one who saved us all. She is a hero to us. We would have never made it out if it hadn’t been for her,” Chaichanhda wrote.
Chaichanhda told CBSNews that Sasha is the reason she and her baby are safe, and she hopes that her tale will help change people’s attitudes toward pit bulls. I owe everything to her. I would have stayed in bed if it hadn’t been for her, and things may have turned out much worse.”
