Volunteer workers of Jersey Pits Rescue found an emaciated Pitbull tied to a pole inside a park. They knew for a fact that they had to act promptly and that it would be best to take it straight to a foster mom than bring it to the shelter.
They reached out to their friends and colleagues and Brianna Daniel, an experienced dog foster, stepped forward and offered to foster it.
Brianna agreed to meet up with the rescuers at the park. When she arrived, she was immediately smitten with the dog she later named Grace.
The foster mom knew that despite its poor state, it was absolutely a mellow and loving dog.
Grace was a little terrified and nervous but she found the courage to walk up to the woman in front of her. Despite barely knowing Brianna, she was instantly glued to her foster mom. She just didn’t want to lose sight of her.
The dog was curious about her new surroundings. She went from room to room and explored every corner of the house.
It took a little while to acclimate to living indoors before she settled in.
Grace ate so fast, worrying that she will be starved and may not get food again after her meal. But eventually, she figured out that there will always be food during her meal times. She slowed down and learned to wait.
It didn’t take very long for the dog to feel at home. But when her foster mom wasn’t around, she felt anxious.
She howled and barked and cried until she saw Brianna again.
No one doubted that Grace suffered from separation anxiety. But her desire to be always beside Brianna was her unique way of stealing her foster mom’s heart.
Wherever Brianna was, Grace was surely there. She was happy to spend all day long with her foster dog.
But she knew Grace needed tons of work to get her used to living inside a home. She exerted so much effort. And as she did, she realized she’s fallen for her and she would never give it up.
Brianna fell deeply in love with Grace. She was happy when her dog was happy. And so, Brianna decided to make Grace an official member of her loving family.

According to Jami Lassell, “My brother was cleaning out a house in Carbon County when he told me she was there. I instructed him to go ahead and get her for me. Her tail began to move as soon as I spotted her.
She didn’t have any food or water. Remi was imprisoned in an abandoned house with no food or water. Remi’s leg had previously been fractured as well, and they’ll have to pay for costly treatment.”
