We enjoy watching Judge Judy for her ruthless, no-nonsense, straight-faced demeanor. She works on many different cases and she never ceases to give us a laugh.
This case started out no different. But it touched everyone a little more due to the fact that a dog was involved. And this dog showed the world that true bonds never die between a pet and its owner. And this dog led Judge Judy to a quick outcome in this case.
A woman, the defendant, bought a dog for $50 outside a mall to give to her mother, who has never had a dog.
The seller was selling the dog because she says a pit bull she had was trying to eat the little white mixed breed.
The man, the plaintiff, claims that this is his dog and it went missing, and his name is Baby Boy. And now he wants his dog back. He had pictures of the dog before he went missing.
Judge Judy asked a friend of the defendant to retrieve the dog. The defendant, meanwhile, gave veterinary documents describing the breed and age of the dog. Which Judge Judy quickly dismissed as it does not hold much evidence that the dog is not his.
When she brought the dog into the courtroom, the plaintiff said hello to Baby Boy and the dog’s attitude suddenly changed to excitement.
Judge Judy told her to put the dog down. And as soon as the dog’s paws touched the ground he immediately ran to the plaintiff. Right past the defendant.
The defendant tried to convince Judge Judy that the dog does that to everyone. But she doesn’t convince anyone, especially not Judge Judy. Baby Boy keeps jumping up the plaintiff’s leg until Judge Judy eventually tells him he can pick up the dog and take it home.
The rightful owner began crying and it touched everyone’s hearts. After the case, he said that this is what happens when you buy a dog outside of a mall.
And then went further on to say “Thanks Judge Judy, you’re not so mean after all”.

While Hurricane Dorian did lots of damage across many states in the US, many dogs also got abandoned. Thankfully for this sweet puppy, a brave deputy noticed and rescued her from the flood.
