Once your puppy has done their business, let them know that they have done a good job. A small treat, playing, or going for a walk are ways of showing them this.
Your puppy may show signs if they need to go to the loo.
Look out for whining, circling, sniffing, or barking. Sometimes they can learn to bark or scratch at the door. Take them out immediately when seeing a sign.

Staying with them outside for longer periods may also help prevent accidents. If their accidents are happening quite frequently, book a consultation with your veterinarian for a check-up.
Never punish your puppy for having an accident. You will only make them scared of you. If you catch your puppy in the middle of doing their business in the house, you can clap loudly. This will teach them that what they are doing is incorrect. Take them outside right away and praise them once they are done.
If they made a mess in the house without you seeing, do not stick their nose in it and get angry.
