After receiving a complaint that a dog is being mistreated, the police went over to investigate. Noticing how aggressive his dog was, they immediately took him away from the violent man.
Being an extremely aggressive dog, the police did not know how to handle him. And so they called the local animal shelter.
Takis came through and brought him to the animal shelter. Being so scared, the dog did not want to come out of the box. This dog was taught that human hands are only there to hurt him.
Defending himself, he just wanted to bite any human that came near him. The man in the video, Takis, wanted this dog to relearn how to think about humans. That human hands are there for love.
From Aggressive Dog To Loving Dog In Just Hours
After many hours of persistence, the dog finally allowed Takis to touch him. Takis showed him affection. Phoenix finally gave in to the affection. All he wanted from that moment was love.
He was still scared and needed a little bit of time. But his transformation within only a few hours is incredible.
He was so confused at first. This poor dog did not receive any love before and he had to learn to trust humans.
The moment when he surrenders and totally relaxes and enjoys his pets just touches your heart.
What is beautiful about this story is that it shows the power of love. Years of abuse turned him vicious, but only mere hours of love and kindness and he learns to trust humans.
After giving Phoenix some time to get used to the fact that human hands are there to love, he even got along with cats which he used to kill.

Takis says in the video that this once aggressive dog now accepts hugs and loves to play.
In the video, you can see Phoenix going up to all of the visitors for love and hugs. Consequently, he is now totally adoptable and irresistible to people looking to adopt a dog.
Dogs should not be euthanized because they are aggressive as it is clear that they can change when given the chance. Thank you so much, Takis, for what you did for this dog. Your work is absolutely amazing.
