This is a movie-worthy tale of two creatures of different species that formed the most unique yet enduring friendship.
Max is an endearing Husky, and Quackers is a duck. Not a lot of people can imagine these two different animals being the closest of pals. Well, they should start believing now because these two animals indeed are BFFs!
The residents of Strout, Minnesota are always on the lookout for these two because, despite their differences, they are inseparable and they can be seen doing a lot of things together.
Max was adopted by the adorable couple Kirsten and Patrick Riley when he was just five years old. The dog liked to play with Sasha, another energetic husky owned by the Rileys.
Max had no one to play with after Sasha’s passing, which was a tragedy not only for the couple but also for Max.
At that time, the Rileys were already in the process of adopting a new family member. This new member was a duckling. They gave him the name Quackers, and he immediately entered and became an important part of Max’s lonely life.
Quackers, according to the Rileys, had lost many pals along the way. Since he was the sole survivor, he was perpetually alone. They believed that the two animals would be filling in the lost pieces in each other.
Max, who frequently felt lonely, would sit at Quackers’ pen. That was likely the very beginning of their very stable friendship, which evolved into something truly amazing.
Since they are the best of friends, you could find them napping, eating, and taking long walks down the road together. Seeing the two best friends really is quite an interesting sight because you could not really think that a duck and a dog would become this close.
According to Kristen, the two had been spotted together on Highway 28, a lonely country road. This is where the two animals regularly congregated, the highway has become an unofficial tourist attraction because so many people wanted to capture pictures of the two unlikely best friends.
What a lovely friendship these two have, wouldn’t you agree?
